At the Bolshee Museum, it's all about the world's sweetest temptation.
Bolcher, Bolsjer, Bom, Snoep, Bonsche, Guzzi, Zuckerl, Godis, Karamelli, Leckerli, Brocken, Klömpkes, Drops.
These are just a few names that are known around the world.
In the museum you can learn everything there is to know about the history, tradition and production of bolsheviks.
Here visitors will find a number of interesting objects related to the history of the Bolshoi. There is also a small candy boiler where you can experience how handmade candy was made a hundred years ago.
Whereas in Germany sweets were shaped by confectioners using so-called sweets embossing machines and sweets rollers, the classic Danish sweets were and still are shaped by hand and cut out. The production of these "rocks" outside Denmark is only practised by a few candy makers.
Bolsjemaskinder were not used in Denmark and are almost unknown. The machines in the exhibition are between 90 and 160 years old.
In addition, the exhibition tells you all about sugar moulds, sugar hares and old German classic lollipop moulds, and shows you how unique sugar figures are made in moulds, some of which are more than a hundred years old.
In the exhibition around sweets you will find - next to historical machines and tools for making sweets - old sweets tins, advertising figures, advertising signs etc.
There are also guided tours with explanations and all sorts of stories and anecdotes.
